Sabrina Corvini Poppy

Sabrina Corvini-Mohn (born June 26, 1984 in Basel , legal resident in Aesch BL ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ).

Life

Sabrina Corvini-Mohn grew up as the oldest of three siblings in Aesch (BL). She attended the compulsory elementary school in Aesch. She completed high school in Münchenstein and graduated in 2003 with the Matura. In 2008 she finished her studies at the University of Teacher Education Central Switzerland in Lucerne and graduated with a Master of Arts PHZ in Secondary Education. From 2008 to 2015 she taught German and artistic design (history and geography) at the secondary school in Oberwil / Biel-Benken.

Corvini-Mohn lives in Allschwil BL, is married and has a son (2014) and a daughter (2016).

Political career

Corvini-Mohn was district administrator of the canton of Basel-Landschaft (cantonal parliament) from September 2009 to January 2017. In 2011 she was re-elected with the best result in the Reinach constituency.

From August 2009 to March 2014 she was President of the CVP Basel-Landschaft . From 2006 to 2009 she presided over the Junge CVP Basel-Landschaft. From 2004 to 2010 she was a member of the Aesch Community Commission and from 2008 to 2010 she was Vice-President of the Aesch Community Commission. Corvini-Mohn sets her political priorities particularly on educational and socio-political issues.
