The Sac County Courthouse in Sac City , the Justice and Administration Building ( Courthouse ) of the Sac County of middle-northwest US -amerikanischen state of Iowa .
The current building is the third courthouse in Sac County, founded in 1851. The first building was erected in 1862 and was just a small log cabin and was in use until 1873. The second courthouse was a two-story lime and brick building. When a prisoner escaped, the building burned down in 1888.
Today's courthouse is a three-storey brick building built in the neo-Romanesque style from 1888–1890 based on a design by the architect J. M. Russel . A clock tower originally belonged to the building, but it was removed in the year of completion.
In 1981 the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places with reference number 81000268 .
