Saddleback Ridge (English for literally saddle back ridge ) is a mountain ridge up to 125 m high and 1.2 km long on Half Moon Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises in the northern part of the island.
The descriptive naming followed geological work of the British Antarctic Survey between 1975 and 1976. It alludes to a permanent ice cover in the center of the mountain ridge, which is reminiscent of a riding saddle .
