Saera Tithi Khan (born April 23, 1979 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian politician and former member of the Arbeiderpartiet ( Norwegian Social Democratic Party) in Storting .

Khan, whose parents immigrated from Bangladesh , grew up in Oslo. She visited the renowned Katedralskole in the Norwegian capital and then studied political science, business administration and gender and European issues at the University of Oslo .

From 1999 to 2005 she represented her party on the Oslo City Council. Since 2002 she has been a member of the Reich Executive Committee of the Arbeiderpartiet . Between 2005 and 2009 she was a member of the Storting , the Norwegian national parliament.

After the Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang reported in 2008 that Khan had made phone calls to fortune tellers at the taxpayer's expense for the equivalent of tens of thousands of euros (of which within three months for around 6,000 euros), Khan initially denied the allegations, but later admitted them . She then announced that she would not run for the parliamentary elections in September 2009 - as originally planned.
