Saffie Lowe Ceesay

Saffie Lowe Ceesay is a politician and diplomat in the West African state of Gambia . She has been the ambassador to Morocco since July 2018.

Life

Lowe Ceesay worked as a state secretary at the Ministry of Health . In November 2016 she was arrested for several days by the Gambian secret service of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). On February 22, 2017, the newly elected President appointed Adama Barrow them as Health and Social Affairs ( Minister of Health and Social Welfare ) in his Cabinet .

In a major cabinet reshuffle on June 29, 2018, she left the cabinet, her future role is to be in the Foreign Service. It became public at the end of August that she is ambassador to Morocco (effective from July).
