Freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices are offered in a juice bar . You can find juice bars in increasing numbers, especially in shopping centers , pedestrian zones , in the main train stations of large cities, but also in numerous upscale hotels .

The first juice bar chain was founded in the USA in 1929 by Julius Freed under the name Orange Julius ; she had about 100 bars in the United States. Before that, Freed had opened his first juice bar in Los Angeles in 1926 .

The equipment in juice bars includes blenders , citrus presses and juicers . In addition to fresh fruit, partially frozen fruit is also processed. While the individual juices, such as apple or carrot juice, are usually freshly squeezed in front of the customer when requested, juice bars keep a supply of the various juice blends chilled in glass containers, from which you can pour your choice.

Some juice bars also offer smoothies , fruit salads and milk shakes with fruit.
