Saharasand is the eleventh studio album by the German songwriter Funny van Dannen and was released on August 28, 2009 on the JKP label , distributed by the Warner Music Group .
Emergence
The album was recorded in the Principal Studios in Senden , Westphalia , and produced by studio owner Vincent Sorg .

reception
Ulf Kubanke from laut.de calls the title “21 new, colorful shimmering song pearls”, which “eloquently and mischievously” covers a broad spectrum of “love tracks” through “small sad dramas” to “militantly critical political songs”.
For Björn Bischoff from the e-zine Plattentests.de , "a lot goes on in the usual way" on the album. He judges some of the titles as "wonderful little songs" while other pieces fall into idiocy or platitudes.
