Sahil is a metro station in Baku on the Red Line (Line 1) of the Baku Metro . It opened on November 6, 1967.
Sahil is one of the first stops on the Baku metro. The first plans for the underground construction in Baku were made as early as the 1930s. Because of the outbreak of the Second World War , the construction project had to be stopped first. In 1947 it was decided to build. The first ten-kilometer construction phase went into operation on November 6, 1967 and the “Sahil” stop was one of the first five stations. In 2018, after a comprehensive renovation, Sahil was returned to passengers for use.
