Sainey Jawo (born December 12, 1999 in Njongon , Niumi ) is a Gambian volleyball player and beach volleyball player .

Career

In his youth Jawo played for the Serrekunda East Volleyball Team, later he won the Senegalese championship with a Senegalese club.

Jawo plays in Doha (Qatar) in the volleyball team of the al-Sadd Sport Club . At the volleyball tournament Emir of Qatar Cup 2019 they reached third place. In beach volleyball he won the tournament as Team Jarra with his playing partner Babucarr Jarra.

At the African Games 2019 in Rabat at the end of August they were in the finals in beach volleyball against the Moroccan team Zouheir El Graoui and Mohamed Abicha and won the gold medal. They were trained there by Pa Barrow , Gambia's senior beach volleyball team head coach.
