The Saint Louis Art Museum (SLAM) is an art museum in St. Louis , Missouri, founded in 1879 .

The collection includes over 30,000 works of art. One focus of the museum is on German painting of the 20th century, with one of the largest collections in the world with works by Max Beckmann .
