Salley Vickers

Salley Vickers (* 1948 in Liverpool ) is a British writer.

Life

Vickers initially taught English literature at the Open University and at Oxford and Stanford, and then decided, due to insufficient academic work, to start over in analytical psychology . Inspired by a visit to Venice, she began her first novel Miss Garnet's Angel in 1998 (published in 2001; German: Miss Garnet and the Angel of Venice , 2003). Simultaneously with this, her second novel Instances of the Number 3 was published in 2001 (German: Drei Spielarten der Liebe , 2003) and two years later Mr Golightly's holiday (2003; German: The temptations of Mr. Golightly , 2004). Her fourth novel, The Other Side of You , was published in 2006. By 2018, a total of 10 books with novels and stories were published. Her books have so far achieved several editions and have been translated into German, French, Spanish and Portuguese, among others.

Salley Vickers lives and works in London and Bath .
