The Salmon Lake Dam (National ID # WA00291) is a dam in Okanogan County in the State of Washington .

The earth dam was built between 1919 and 1921 by the United States Bureau of Reclamation ; it has a height of 16.5 meters and a crown length of 384 meters.

The Salmon Lake Dam dams Salmon Creek for irrigation and flood protection purposes; he is part of the larger Okanogan Project. The neighboring Conconully Dam , built in 1911, and its reservoir, the Conconully Reservoir, are part of the same project. Both dams are owned by the Bureau of Reclamation and operated by the local Okanogan Irrigation District.

The reservoir formed by the dam, Conconully Lake , has a maximum storage capacity of 19,365,636 cubic meters. Those looking for relaxation come to the lake for fishing ( rainbow trout , cutthroat trout and black bass are popular ), boating, camping, hiking and nature observation. The Conconully State Park and Conconully National Wildlife Refuge are nearby.
