Salmon (Elis)
Salmone ( Greek Σαλμώνη ) was an ancient city in the Pisatis in Elis , in the west of the Peloponnese . The exact location is not known.
Salmone or Salmonia was founded by the arrogant Salmoneus , a son of Aiolos and Enarete . Because the mythical founder wanted to put himself on a par with Zeus , the supreme Olympian god killed him and the entire city in a flash.
