Salomon Hirzel (Colonel)
Coordinates: 47 ° 22 '36 " N , 8 ° 31' 47.4" E ; CH1903: 682,408 / 247888 Salomon Hirzel (* 20th September 1790 ; † 20th April 1844 ) was a federal colonel and commander of the artillery of the Canton of Zurich and Arsenal director in Zurich. In 1842 he became Vice President of the Federal War Council. A memorial was erected to him in the barracks area of the city of Zurich.
Life
Since he was also known abroad, the Münchner Zeitung called for contributions to the biographical work.
