Salvatore Nocita

Salvatore Nocita (born July 30, 1934 in Arcisate ) is an Italian director who mainly worked for television.

Life

Nocita began working for RAI in 1958 as an editing technician. In 1968 he made his debut as a director with Faccia a faccia , a journalistic format. Soon he was shooting television games and had great success with Lo sconosciuto di Sèvres , the family story I Nicotera , which tells the experiences of Sicilians in northern Italy, Dimenticare Lisa from 1976 and Un mondo d'amore 1983. In 1977 he shot his only one in the cinema shown film, the extraordinary Ligabue , which came up with an excellent portrayal of the painter by Flavio Bucci and was awarded a silver ribbon and the Grand Prize of the Montréal World Film Festival . At the end of the 1980s, he also directed an interesting version of Die Verlobten as a miniseries. A decade later, Nocita produced numerous CDs with industrial films and on behalf of regional authorities on the subject of immigration. In 2006 Gente come noi was published ; a documentation of everyday life in Bergamo .

Nocita was also active in the journalistic field and wrote almost all of his films himself.
