Flavio Bucci (born May 25, 1947 in Turin , † February 18, 2020 in Passoscuro ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Bucci received his training at the Teatro Stabile in Turin and moved to Rome in 1968 . There he stood out as a theater actor of mostly classical plays with a remarkable interpretation in Bulgakov's dog heart . The tall, conspicuous actor with ghostly eyes and an almost exaggeratedly expressive voice was u. a. used by Elio Petri in some of his films in which he interpreted complex personalities. In 1977 he also played the confused painter Antonio Ligabue in Salvatore Nocita's television portrait, for which Bucci received a Silver Ribbon for Best Actor. Numerous works for the screen and television followed, in which he worked with directors such as Franco Giraldi , Dario Argento and Giuliano Montaldo and presented exploitation goods as well as artistically demanding works.

In 1978 he played in a sensational production of Armando Pugliese by Don Chisciotte . Bucci worked uninterruptedly until well into the 1980s and made numerous above-average films by all well-known Italian directors, but also often in German-speaking countries. There were also offers for interesting roles on television well into the new millennium; his cinema appearances were noticed less outside of Italy.

Bucci, very occasionally also active as a voice actor, was married to fellow actor Micaela Pignatelli . With her he had two sons, Alessandro and Lorenzo. A third son, Ruben, was born from the second marriage to the Dutch producer Loes Kamsteeg. Bucci died of a heart attack on February 18, 2020 at the age of 72 in Passoscuro.
