Salve Regina Seahawks

Under the name Salve Regina Seahawks , Salve Regina University competes at the NCAA Division III level and is a member of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and the New England Football Conference (NEFC). The university offers ten varsity sports for women ( soccer , field hockey , tennis , cross-country skiing , basketball , ice hockey , volleyball , softball , athletics and lacrosse ), eight for men (soccer, cross-country skiing, American football , basketball, ice hockey, tennis, and baseball Lacrosse) and sailing as a common sport . Sailing is regulated by the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) and its subdivision, the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA).

The school also offers rugby for men and women run by the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference , USA Rugby, and World Rugby . The men's rugby program is at Division III level and the women's program is at Division III level in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO).

The university mascot is the Seahawk.
