Salve Regina University
The Salve Regina University is a private Roman Catholic University in Newport , Rhode Iceland ( USA ).
history
The institution was founded as a college by the Order of the Sisters of Mercy in 1934 . The campus has been located at its current location on the Atlantic coast since 1947 . Women have been accepted since 1973, and the college became a university in 1991.
Students from the Naval War College , also located in Newport, have the opportunity to acquire a Masters in International Relations from Salve Regina University .

Art treasures
In a stairwell of the university are the two outer lanes of a colorful lower window, which was originally made in the middle of the 15th century for the Carmelite Church of Boppard . Today it bears the name Pyrmont window , which was derived from its founder Cuno von Pyrmont and von Ehrenberg .
