Janet L. Robinson (* 11. June 1950 in Fall River , Massachusetts ) is an American manager and former CEO ( Chief Executive Officer ) of The New York Times -Company.

Career

After studying at Salve Regina College , Newport (Rhode Island) , she first worked as a teacher before she started working for the NYT company in 1983. After several intermediate positions, in February 2004 she became Chief Operating Officer of her division and one of the vice-presidents of the entire group. On September 27, 2004 she rose to the top of the entire group and was its president and CEO until December 2011.

In the Forbes list - the most influential women in the world Janet L. Robinson is represented regularly so it was for. B. listed in 2007 at number 45. Her income in 2010 was approximately $ 5.3 million.
