The Salzburger Landes-Hypothekenbank AG or HYPO Salzburg is an Austrian bank located in the state of Salzburg.

The Salzburger Landes-Hypothekenbank, founded in 1909 as Salzburger Landes-Hypothekenanstalt, was incorporated into a stock corporation in 1992. Until December 16, 1998, the sole shareholder was the Salzburger Landes-Holding, which existed in accordance with LGBl. 20/1992. In 2005 the Salzburger Landes-Holding was abolished by LGBl. 56/2005 and its shares in the bank were transferred by way of universal succession to the newly founded Land Salzburg Beteiligungen GmbH (formerly Salzburger Beteiligungsverwaltungs GmbH), whose sole shareholder was the State of Salzburg is. Since December 17, 1998 there are several shareholders.

Since the middle of 2003, the combined direct and indirect participation approaches have resulted in a clear majority of voting rights for Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich Aktiengesellschaft.

As of June 30, 2016, the share capital of Salzburger Landes-Hypothekenbank Aktiengesellschaft totaled € 18,375,000.00 and is divided as follows:

HYPO Holding GmbH (around 50.02%): 1,225,499 shares at € 9,191,242.50

Oberösterreichische Landesbank Aktiengesellschaft (around 25.00%): 612,501 shares at € 4,593,757.50

Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich Aktiengesellschaft (around 24.98%): 612,000 shares at € 4,590,000.00

Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich Aktiengesellschaft is the superordinate credit institute of Salzburger Landes-Hypothekenbank Aktiengesellschaft within the meaning of Section 30 BWG. Because it belongs to the Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich group, Salzburger Landes-Hypothekenbank Aktiengesellschaft is part of an important group within the meaning of Article 2 number 21 letter b of the SSM framework regulation (ECB / 2014/17).

The scope of the license granted to Salzburger Landes-Hypothekenbank Aktiengesellschaft currently includes banking transactions in accordance with the provisions of Section 1 Paragraph 1 Numbers 1 to 11, 15 to 18 and 22 BWG. The bank is authorized to issue Pfandbriefe and public Pfandbriefe in accordance with the Pfandbrief Act.

Salzburger Landes-Hypothekenbank Aktiengesellschaft is a member of the Pfandbriefstelle, which is set up on the basis of the Pfandbriefstelle Act ( Federal Law Gazette I No. 45/2004 , repealed Federal Law Gazette I No. 39/2020 ).

Salzburger Landes-Hypothekenbank Aktiengesellschaft is registered with the Salzburg Regional Court in the commercial register under FN 35678v. The company headquarters is in 5020 Salzburg, Residenzplatz 7.

The merger with Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich is planned for autumn 2021 .
