The salt warehouse in Geislingen an der Steige is a functional building of the Geislingen road maintenance department on Bundesstraße 10 .

The building was designed by the architectural office Vautz Mang Architekten under the supervision of the Ulm Building Department . After eleven months of construction, it was completed in 2016 and put into operation in September of that year. The construction costs were 920,000 euros.

In the warehouse with a usable area of ​​400 m², 1500 tons of road salt and 60,000 liters of brine can be stored, with which a road network of 380 kilometers is to be kept ice-free. The system consists of a storage trough with attached weather protection cover on a foundation made of reinforced concrete. It is owned by the federal government, is administered by the regional council in Stuttgart and is assigned to the joint road construction authority of the Esslingen and Göppingen districts .
