Sam Colson

Sam Colson (actually Samuel Linn Colson; born March 24, 1951 in Beloit , Kansas ) is a former American javelin thrower .

In 1975 he won the Pan American Games in Mexico City , and in 1976 he finished fifth in the Olympic Games in Montreal .

In 1974 he became US champion and in 1973 NCAA champion starting at the University of Kansas . He set his personal best of 88.65 m on March 24, 1973 in Tuscaloosa .
