Sam and Mark are the British pop duo Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes .

Both started their careers in 2003 as participants in Pop Idol , the casting show for the British television station ITV . Her debut single With a Little Help from My Friends , a cover version of the Beatles classic, topped the UK charts on February 21, 2004 .
Since their second single "The Sun Has Come Your Way" did not reach the top ten, they lost their record deal and both started moderating. Together with Fearne Cotton they moderated Top of the Pop Saturday, which was later replaced by Top of the Pop Reloaded . After the Top of the Pop broadcast , they are now moderating the children's show Tmi.
