The Samariterstiftung is a provider of social services in Baden-Württemberg .

The non-profit foundation operates 60 houses and facilities in the elderly, disabled and social psychiatry. It looks after around 4,000 old, disabled and sick people at 28 locations in nine counties. Almost 3000 employees work in these facilities. The foundation is a member of the Diakonisches Werk Württemberg .

A special concern of the Samariterstiftung is the promotion of civic engagement and social learning. The houses are an integral part of the community's social life. The neighborhood work, i.e. the coexistence of all generations, regardless of the situation and limitations, is promoted. The aim is to include old, sick and disabled people in the social life of their community. (See Social Inclusion !) The Samaritan Foundation is supported by the Time for People Foundation.

The Samariterstiftung offers places for the federal voluntary service and the voluntary social year .

Since 1946 and 1947 the Samariterstiftung has been running a facility for disabled people and social psychiatry on the site of the former Grafeneck killing center .
