The Sambachshof is a district of the town of Bad Königshofen in Grabfeld in the Lower Franconian district of Rhön-Grabfeld ( Bavaria ).

The wasteland is in the Haßberge south of Althausen .
history
In 1317 the Sambachshof in the Haßberge was mentioned in a Henneberg list of goods. Originally it belonged to the Counts of Wildberg , whose ancestral castle is nearby.
In 1573, Count Georg Ernst von Henneberg sold Hof and Gut Sambach to the city of Königshofen. In 1891 the Sambachshof, which burned down in 1842, was rebuilt.
In 1900 tourism began at Sambachshof. The lonely courtyard became a popular destination. In 1926 a wooden observation tower was built on the Marsh hill north of the Sambachhof, but it fell into disrepair and collapsed in the 1940s, in 1970 Wolfgang Eschenbach opened a fairy tale forest, and since 1967 the Lower Franconian adult education center has been located at Sambachshof.
