Sami Gabra

Sami Gabra (born April 24, 1892 in Abnub near Asyut , † May 19, 1979 in Masr al-Gadida ) was an Egyptian Egyptologist and Coptologist .

Sami Gabra was from 1925 to 1928 curator at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo , professor at Cairo University and founder of the Société d'Archéologie Copte . He was involved in the excavations in Dair Tassa , Tura , Tihna al-Jabal , Tuna al-Gabal , Dahshur and Meir .
