Archives of Toxicology , abbreviated Arch. Toxicol. is a monthly peer-reviewed journal .

The magazine was founded in 1930 by Hermann Fühner under the name Collection of Poisoning Cases and was published once a year. In 1936 it was renamed Fühner-Wieland's Collection of Poisoning Cases. With volume 13 in 1944, the magazine was discontinued and reprinted in 1952. It was renamed Archives for Toxicology and has been published under the title Archives of Toxicology since 1975 .

The subject area has expanded from the collection of poisoning cases, the published articles cover the entire toxicology .

From 1978 to 1998 a supplement volume with its own ISSN number was published once a year. (0171-9750), in which the proceedings of the EUROTOX Congress were published.

The journal's impact factor in 2017 was 6,637. In 2014 it was 5.98.

The editors are Jan Hengstler, head of the Leibniz Institute for Labor Research, and Hermann Bolt .
