Sammy Adjei (born September 1, 1980 in Accra ) is a former Ghanaian football player on the position of goalkeeper .
Adjei moved from Hearts of Oak SC to Israel for Ashdod FC in 2005 for $ 150,000 . After three years in Israel, he returned to Ghana in summer 2008. Since then he has been under contract with Accra Hearts of Oak. On July 15, 2013, he was put on the transfer list by Hearts of Oak SC and released from his contract on July 16, 2013. He ended his active career as a result of his dismissal.
He was the goalkeeper of the Ghanaian national team until 2006 , but was then placed in the second rank because he caused too many goals due to a small lack of concentration. Adjei took part in the 2006 World Cup in Germany, without being used.
