Samuel Bansovius (born May 18, 1576 in Rostock , † February 11, 1636 in Tübingen ) was a German lawyer.
Life
Samuel Bansovius completed a degree in philosophy in Frankfurt an der Oder and a degree in law in Rostock . He then became the preceptor of the Baron von Molzan. In 1601 he was matriculated in Tübingen and there in 1603 as a Dr. iur. utr. PhD. He worked as a court judge . From 1636 to 1638 he was a full professor of law as the successor to Christoph Besold in Tübingen. He held the title Juris consultus . His portrait, painted by Conrad Melberger in 1636 , hangs in the Tübingen professors' gallery .
