Samuel Nyholm
Samuel Nyholm (* 1973 in Lund , called: Sany ) is a Swedish graphic designer and illustrator .
He studied from 1995 to 1999 at Konstfack in Stockholm, where he completed his master's degree . During his student days, Nyholm founded the design company "Reala" together with Jonas Williamson in 1998. “Reala create idiosyncratic families of characters consisting of drawn figures, specially developed fonts , grotesque icons and bizarre pictograms , which often exist in familial mutations with different sizes, ages, genders and physiognomies . Reala tend to invent their own graphic system and special vocabulary of images and characters for each task, within which they let off steam creatively ”.
Nyholm has been Professor of Illustration at the University of the Arts Bremen since 2012 . 2017 Nyholm is a participant of the Skulptur.Projekte in Münster.
