Publishing history
The publishing house was founded in 1990 in eastern Germany by Lutz Stellmacher. Stellmacher, still managing director today, studied photography and initiated the prayers for peace in Leipzig's Nikolaikirche in the 1980s . In 1989 he designed a leaflet magazine for the New Forum , later, together with prominent artists such as Thomas Rosenlöcher and Wieland Förster, the magazine Thema - Posts for Social Design . Stellmacher received technology from a Hamburg company to set up a service company for printed matter. He founded the company as a GmbH under GDR law. The first orders came from the area of monument preservation .
In the 2010s the publisher specialized in books and catalogs on the subjects of art, history and architecture, often in connection with exhibitions. In addition to the publishing house, the company also includes the areas of sandstone communication and sandstone new media. A total of 22 employees are employed.
