The Sandy Beach ( English for sandy beach ) was a 200 m long beach on McDonald Island in the southern Indian Ocean . It was north of Pebble Beach and inland was lined with high cliffs. The beach disappeared due to a volcanic eruption on McDonald Island in 2003.
Australian scientists gave it its descriptive name.
