Christian Fredrik Maximillian "Fritz" Staib (born February 10, 1892 in Oslo , † May 16, 1956 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria , Spain ) was a Norwegian sailor .

Christian Staib, who for the Kongelig Norsk Seilforening sailed, was in 1912 in Stockholm at the Olympic Games in the 12-meter class (= 12mR) Olympic champion . He was a crew member of Magda IX , which took first place in both races of the regatta and thus won the competition ahead of the only two competitors, the Swedish boat Erna Signe from skipper Nils Persson and the Finnish boat Heatherbell from skipper Ernst Krogius . The crew of the Magda IX also included Alfred Larsen , who was also the owner of the Magda IX , as well as Nils Bertelsen , Eilert Falch-Lund , Halfdan Hansen , Petter Larsen , Magnus Konow , Arnfinn Heje and Carl Thaulow . Johan Anker was the skipper and designer of the yacht .
