Nils August Persson (born February 11, 1879 in Stockholm ; † February 4, 1941 there ) was a Swedish sailor .

successes

Nils Persson, who was a member of the Kungliga Svenska Segelsällskapet , won the silver medal in the 12-meter class at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm . He was the skipper of the Erna Signe , which took second place in both races of the regatta and thus ended the competition behind the Norwegian boat Magda IX from skipper Johan Anker and ahead of the Finnish boat Heatherbell from skipper Ernst Krogius . The Erna Signe crew included Hugo Clason , Iwan Lamby , Hugo Sällström , Sigurd Kander , Folke Johnson , Dick Bergström , Kurt Bergström , Erik Lindqvist and Per Bergman .
