Kurt Johan Bergström (born July 23, 1891 in Lidingö , † November 20, 1955 in Jönköping ) was a Swedish sailor .

successes

Kurt Bergström, who was a member of the Kungliga Svenska Segelsällskapet , won the silver medal in the 12-meter class at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm . He was a crew member of the Erna Signe , which took second place in both races of the regatta and thus ended the competition behind the Norwegian boat Magda IX from skipper Johan Anker and ahead of the Finnish boat Heatherbell from skipper Ernst Krogius . The Erna Signe crew also included Erik Lindqvist , Iwan Lamby , Hugo Sällström , Sigurd Kander , Folke Johnson , Hugo Clason , Per Bergman and his brother Dick Bergström . The skipper of the boat was Nils Persson .

Bergström practiced as a doctor .
