Folke Johnson (born June 15, 1887 in Stockholm , † February 20, 1962 there ) was a Swedish sailor .

successes

Folke Johnson, who was a member of the Kungliga Svenska Segelsällskapet , won the silver medal in the 12-meter class at the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 . He was a crew member of the Erna Signe , which took second place in both races of the regatta and thus ended the competition behind the Norwegian boat Magda IX from skipper Johan Anker and ahead of the Finnish boat Heatherbell from skipper Ernst Krogius . The Erna Signe crew also included Hugo Clason , Iwan Lamby , Hugo Sällström , Sigurd Kander , Erik Lindqvist , Dick Bergström , Kurt Bergström and Per Bergman . The skipper of the boat was Nils Persson .
