Nils Bertelsen (born September 29, 1879 in Tromøy , † October 5, 1958 in Vang ) was a Norwegian sailor .

Nils Bertelsen, who for the Kongelig Norsk Seilforening sailed, was in 1912 in Stockholm at the Olympic Games in the 12-meter class Olympic champion . He was a crew member of the Magda IX , which took first place in both races of the regatta and thus won the competition ahead of the only two competitors, the Swedish boat Erna Signe from skipper Nils Persson and the Finnish boat Heatherbell from skipper Ernst Krogius . The crew of the Magda IX also included Alfred Larsen , who was also the owner of the Magda IX , as well as Christian Staib , Eilert Falch-Lund , Halfdan Hansen , Petter Larsen , Magnus Konow , Arnfinn Heje and Carl Thaulow . Johan Anker was the skipper of the boat .
