Sangliers

The Sangliers ( French for 'wild boars'), also known as Groupe Sanglier , are a loyal organization that was founded in 1973 as a counter-movement to the separatist Béliers (French for 'Aries'). You are campaigning for the Bernese Jura to remain in the canton of Bern .

In contrast to the Béliers, the Sangliers recognize the decisions made in referendums in 1978 . At that time, the three Bernese Jura administrative districts of La Neuveville , Moutier and Courtelary decided to remain part of the Canton of Bern. The three administrative districts of Delémont , Franches-Montagnes and Porrentruy , on the other hand, decided to found the new canton of Jura , which became legally binding on January 1, 1979.
