Sankt Georgen am Weinberg
St. Georgen am Weinberg ( Slovenian : Šentjurij na Vinogradih ) is a place in the municipality of Völkermarkt in Carinthia . The place is 560 meters above sea level. It has 96 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).
The place consists largely of properties that are located around the church of the same name on a small hill. In the north the place is bordered by the largely wooded Kreuzkogel (630 m), while otherwise it is directly surrounded by fields and meadows. In the south, at 849 meters, rises the small Frankenberg, at the foot of which is the Frankenstein Castle . It is used for agriculture.
Neighboring towns start clockwise in the north: Kremschitz , Waisenberg , Führholz, Korb, Winklern and St. Leonhard.
