Kremschitz (Slovenian: Hrunčiče ) is a place in the municipality of Völkermarkt in Carinthia and lies at 560 meters above the Adriatic Sea . In 2009 Kremschitz had about 50 residential buildings and 107 residents.
location
Kremschitz is about ten kilometers north of Völkermarkt and seven kilometers south of Brückl . In the south the place is bordered by the mostly wooded, 630 m high Kreuzkogel , while otherwise it is mainly surrounded by fields and meadows. In the north there is the Dürrenmoos area , which is inhabited by many animal and plant species. The well-known Lamprechtskogel is located about one kilometer west of the village . The former raised bog is clearly visible from Kremschitz; the local population calls the Kogel "Schaunza". Other neighboring towns start clockwise in the north: Reisdorf / Mauern, Waisenberg , Führholz, Korb, Sankt Georgen am Weinberg , Winklern and Skoflitzen.
Townscape
There are many wayside crosses and martyrs around Kremschitz , which are painted and cared for, each is consecrated to a different saint and is the responsibility of one or more families. The fire station of the St. Georgen am Weinberg volunteer fire brigade is also located in Kremschitz, and Kremschitz's landmark grows on the forecourt: an old, tall linden tree.
