Sant Jordi de ses Salines (Span. San Jorge) is a place in the municipality ( municipality ) Sant Josep de sa Talaia on the Spanish Balearic island of Ibiza . In 2011, 9,544 inhabitants lived in the place, which also includes the Sa Carroca settlement and the tourist resort Platja d'en Bossa on the bay of the same name south of Ibiza Town . Sant Jordi is located between Ibiza Town and Ibiza Airport . With the further settlement of Sant Francesc de s'Estany , this area roughly forms the former Quartó Ses Salines . (After the Catalan conquest in 1235, the island was subdivided into four quartons plus the island capital. This administrative subdivision still exists today.) From here you can also access some of the most famous island bays such as Playa den en Bossa , es Cavallet, Migjorn ( better known as Playa de Ses Salines ) and Es Codolar .
