Santa Luzia is a Brazilian city and is located about 20 km northeast of Belo Horizonte . It has about 200,000 inhabitants and the district of the same name includes the two villages of São Benedito and Santa Luzia. The river that flows through the village is the Rio das Velhos . Its water is not drinkable. There are also no living beings in it due to various impurities.

Due to numerous condominiums (fenced and monitored residential complexes in the single-family house style ), Santa Luzia has increased in value in recent years. The middle and upper classes of Belo Horizonte like to afford a weekend cottage in the country. Security, infrastructure, supply options, etc. also show this.
