The 1944/45 NHL season was the 28th season in the National Hockey League . Six teams played 50 games each. The Stanley Cup won the Toronto Maple Leafs after a 4-3 win in the final series against the Detroit Red Wings . Maurice Richard dominated the season with 50 goals.
