Santa Maria dos Olivais is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Tomar . The community had 12,845 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Santa Maria dos Olivais and Tomar (São João Baptista) merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de Tomar (São João Baptista) e Santa Maria dos Olivais . Santa Maria dos Olivais is the seat of this newly formed community.
