Santabárbara was a Spanish pop group of the 1970s that consisted of the musicians Enrique Milian, Mario Balaguer and Alberto López.

biography

In addition to his work in an Erlangen machine factory , the Spaniard Balaguer founded a band called “Fantomas” in 1970 . Two years later he became a member of the formation "Capitolo XIII". As a background musician for Georgie Dann he met his compatriots Milian and López, with whom he formed the Trio Santabárbara, which in autumn 1973 was number five in the German charts with the song Charly . In May 1974 the single rose to number 18 in Austria , in October of that year it entered the Swiss charts and reached number two. Despite numerous other releases until 1981, Charly remained Santabárbara's only hit.
