Santana Pictures Corporation (often just Santana Pictures, Inc. or A Santana Production ) was an American film company founded in 1949 by actor Humphrey Bogart .
history
Humphrey Bogart was an avid sailor and had a yacht called the Santana. He named his film company after this yacht in 1949. In the period between 1949 and 1953 he made seven, mostly mediocre films. The most successful film was the British / American / Italian co-production Schach dem Teufel (Beat the Devil) . Although he was always a co-producer, he was never mentioned in the opening credits or credits as such.
Movies
The first film was before closed doors (Knock on Any Door) of the 1949 Columbia Pictures was awarded. In the same year Tokio-Joe (Tokyo Joe) was created .
