Sante Ghedini is a former sports director of Scuderia Ferrari .

Sante Ghedini trained as a television technician and worked as a journalist and photo reporter . He came to Ferrari in the 1970s and was responsible for public relations at Scuderia. Ghedini, who was something like the “girl for everything”, also became the personal advisor to Niki Lauda , who won the Formula 1 World Championship in 1975 and 1977 .

After Lauda left Ferrari for Brabham at the end of 1977 , Ghedini also switched to the British racing team. Under Bernie Ecclestone , he took over the role of official press spokesman and stayed with Brabham when Lauda resigned at the end of 1979.

When Luca Cordero di Montezemolo became the new Ferrari president, he brought Ghedini back in 1991 and made him sports director and team boss in 1992. Ghedini led Scuderia at a difficult time. Jean Alesi and Ivan Capelli were the drivers and the Ferrari F92A was a bad design. At the end of 1993, Jean Todt became the new strong man at Scuderia, and Ghedini left the team and became director of the Mugello circuit .
