Santiago Abascal Conde (born April 14, 1976 in Bilbao ) is a Spanish politician and chairman of the Spanish party Vox since September 2014 . He is also the author of several political essays.

Abascal was a member of the conservative Partido Popular at the beginning of his political career . As a member of the PP he was a local councilor in Llodio (1999–2007), a member of the Juntas Generales in Álava (2003–2004) and a member of the Basque Parliament (2004–2009).

He was involved in the founding of the national conservative party Vox and eventually joined it. In September 2014, Abascal was elected Vox's new chairman with 91% of the vote.

Abascal is married for the second time and has four children.
