Sara Kishon
Sara Kishon (born October 8, 1931 - March 24, 2002 in Tel Aviv , Israel ), née Lipovitz , was the wife of the Israeli satirist Ephraim Kishon .
In 1959, after divorcing his first wife Eva Klamer, Ephraim Kishon married the pianist Sara Lipovitz, who became known to the public in Germany as “the best wife of all”.
Sara was the mother of Amir and Renana Kishon . She ran an art gallery in Tel Aviv. In 2002 she died of lung cancer.
In the satires of Kishon his wife appears again and again and is caricatured by the author; the satirical collection "... and the best wife of all" is specifically about the relationship between the two.
Sara Kishon herself wrote a satirical response to her husband's stories in 1996. It is titled "My beloved liar".
