Sarah Iversen (born April 10, 1990 in Frederiksberg , Denmark ) is a Danish handball player who plays for the Danish first division club Herning-Ikast Håndbold .
Career
Sarah Iversen played in her youth with SNIK, Lyngby and Virum-Sorgenfri. In 2008, the cyclist joined the Danish second division club Nordkøbenhavn Håndbold. A year later she moved to Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub . From the 2012/13 season Iversen was under contract for four seasons with HC Odense . She then returned to the Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub. She has been playing for Herning-Ikast Håndbold since the 2018/19 season . In 2019 she won the Danish Cup with Herning-Ikast. Since summer 2020 she has been on pause due to her pregnancy.
Iversen made her debut for the Danish national team on March 19, 2015 . She took part in the 2017 World Cup in Germany and the 2018 European Championship in France.
Her sister Rikke is also a Danish national handball player.
